Contact List View designs, then select and use any saved design.
ACT! for Windows includes a facility to design and save layouts that display
contact data while in the Contact View, and that display group data while
in the Group View. If a user needs to see different "forms" of
this data, they can build and save multiple layouts, and select an appropriate
one whenever necessary.
ACT! also allows the user to change the columns displayed in the Contact
List View, along with their sequence and width. However, there is no way
to name or save any of these "designs"; if a user needs different
sets of field columns, in different sequences, for different tasks, they
must re-build each design each time.
Contact List Designer provides the capability to name and save any Contact
List View configuration, and to select and use any previously saved configuration
whenever the Contact List View is active.
